What are Metal Letters?

Flat cut metal letters are a type of dimensional lettering signage cut from a sheet of metal. Cast letters are formed using molten metal poured into custom-designed molds. As for which metal, they can be made with aluminum, bronze, brass or stainless steel.

How Are Flat Cut Metal Letters Made?

They are precision cut with laser and high pressure water. The metal comes in a flat sheet, which the letters are cut from. By cutting these letters with water jets, one can craft very intricate details and precise corners, even on small characters and letters.

How Much Do Metal Letters Cost?

There are a lot of factors that go into determining the cost of metal letters: thickness, metal type, number of characters, etc. For 8" tall, 1/8" or 1/4" thick brushed aluminum letters, you can expect something around $44 per letter.

How Are Metal Letters Installed?

Metal letters are installed with stud-mounting. It’s quite simple. You mark out where you want to place the letters. Then you make measurements in order to ensure the correct placement.

Next, you drill holes in the wall and place your letters in, making adjustments as needed. Finally, once you're satisfied with the placement, you put an adhesive on the studs sticking out the back of the letters and place them on the wall.
